For those who came along last time you know this experience was beautiful because you all made it so. With the echoes of Schapelle's warm (đĨ) wishes reverberating through our souls, we're starting to put together the next unforgettable bash.
At this stage we've locked in the beautiful Hallston Estate. All the rest is back – DJs and performances, film fest, communal meals, sensory escape zone and poolside bliss... plus some surprises in store đ
There have been some challenges with regards to getting a location that meets our needs – and the drawback of this venue is that the max capacity isn't amazing. This will mean we will have to bring some blow-ups and bedding, and keep things a little on the hush hush.
đ° This experience is likely to be a little more costly. Our initial deposit of $350pp is due - please pay Rob by 31 October. There will be a post-hoc breakdown of additional costs incurred and a second round fee ($100–150). Prices may vary depending on total attendees. We will also price-adjust so that people who do not get formal bedding incur a saving.
If you'd like a more formal role in the build-up to this event or have a specific suggestion or idea in mind please feed this back to Will or in the Suggestion Box. We will launch volunteer spots soon for meal prep, etc.
Looking incredibly forward to seeing you all there đĒŠ
Getting There
The Easy Route (via Leongatha)
M1 motorway and Strzelecki Highway (B460) to Leongatha, then Leongatha–Yarragon Road. Less winding, easiest with kids. Leongatha has Woolworths, Aldi, IGA, butcher, bakery.
≈ 1 hr 45 min
The Scenic Route (via Grand Ridge Road)
M1 to Warragul, then Grand Ridge Road through mountain ash forests, fern gullies and Mount Worth State Park. One of Victoria's great scenic drives. Stop at Hogget Kitchen for lunch.
≈ 2 hours
Road note: All roads are sealed bitumen except the final stretch (unsealed, well-maintained). A regular 2WD car is perfectly fine — just avoid very low-clearance sports cars.
Supplies: Woolworths delivers directly to the farm. Aldi and IGA in Leongatha (15 min). Takeaway: Space47 café, Punjabi Pantry, Serafinos pizza, The Corals fish and chips, McCartin's Hotel.
